So clearly I've been really terrible about updating on the quilting progress. I think it might be better to go with a weekly posting instead of daily, since I'm a) not quilting every day, b) really bad at posting pictures every day, and c) probably boring everyone to tears with updates that involve a flower and little else. I didn't get to do any quilting yesterday, since I had to run errands after my shows, and then I went to go see a musical last night, but I got a fair amount of quilting done this evening.

So just to warn you all, this blog is probably going to get pretty darn boring for the next month and a half, since the only things on my plate besides the quilting is a petal-shaped bum pad, and some lace mitts. However, I still want to post every day that I make progress on the petticoat, so the blog will become more like picture a day/movie ( Read more... )

I started the quilting on the petticoat today. I drew out a portion of the pattern, and then I started stitching. I'm pretty proud of myself - I think I'm averaging about 10 stitches per inch. I didn't have too much time to quilt today, though, but here's what it looks like so far!

The muslin swag is stitched onto the neckline of the bodice, and I bound the front, but I need to pick up more of the swarovski findings I used for the front of the bodice, to put every 6" around the top of the neckline. And I'm hoping to find a brooch that goes really well to use for the center front of the neckline.
